Tunisian Raspberry Stitch

This is an imitation of the Raspberry Stitch in knitting. It is also worked in a fairly similar manner but in the two-step method of Tunisian. It looks best when using a lightweight yarn and slightly oversize hook.


Notes:

3TpsTog= Pull yarn forward (as in a Tps) Insert hook under all front vertical bars of next three together, Pull yarn to back, yarn over and pull up one loop.
3TrsTog= Insert hook through the two vert. bars of all of the next three together from the back side of your work (as in a Trs) Yarn over and pull up one loop.

Tks (Knit Stitch)
Tps (Purl Stitch)
Trss (Reverse Stitch)

Instructions:

To begin: Chain in multiples of four plus one.

Foundation: 
Row one forward: Insert hook into first chain space from hook. Yarn over and pull up a loop. * Insert into next, yarn over and pull up a loop. Repeat from * keeping all loops on hook. Row one return: Yarn over and pull back through one loop. * Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until one loop remains on hook.

Stitch:
Row two forward: * 3TpsTog, Tps with the back vert. bar of next, Tks in same, Trs with front vert. bar of same. Repeat from * to last. Pull up a loop from last. Row two return: Yarn over and pull back through one loop. * Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until one loop remains on hook.

Row three forward: * Tps with the back vert. bar of next, Tks in same, Tps with front vert. bar of same. 3TrsTog in next. Repeat from * to last. Pull up a loop from last. Row three return: Yarn over and pull back through one loop. * Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until one loop remains on hook.

Repeat from row two.
