Tunisian Full Stitch (Tfs)

⇐ Back to Basic Stitches
The Full Stitch, also called the Goblin Stitch, is formed by pulling up loops from the spaces created in-between each stitch or set of vertical bars. This creates a full and almost chunky, checkered pattern. Follow the instructions in the pattern or check out the video bellow to learn how to complete the stitch...

To begin: Chain to desired length.

Foundation: Row one forward: Insert hook in next chain space and pull up a loop. * Insert hook into next, yarn over and pull up a loop. Repeat from * keeping all chains on hook. Row one return: Yarn over and pull back through one loop. * Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until one loop remains on hook.

Stitch: Row two forward: Skip first space and stitch * Insert hook through fabric from front to back between next two stitches (into space between sets of vertical bars and under horizontal bars). Yarn over and pull up a loop. Repeat from * to end. Pull up a loop from last. Row two return: Yarn over and pull back through one loop. * Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until one loop remains on hook.

Row three forward: * Insert hook through fabric from front to back between next two stitches. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Repeat from * to end. Skip next stitch and space. Pull up a loop from last. Row three return: Yarn over and pull back through one loop. * Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until one loop remains on hook.
