Tunisian Purl Stitch (Tps)

⇐ Back to Basic Stitches

The Tunisian Purl Stitch is an imitation of the Purl in Knitting. It pulls the stitches tight and loops the thread around the front of the stitch. This is commonly used with other stitches as a contrast to create interesting visual patterns and works very well as a backdrop to cables or in ribbing. Follow the instructions in the pattern or check out the video bellow to learn how to complete the stitch...

Instructions

Foundation: Row one forward: Insert hook into first chain space from hook. Yarn over and pull up a loop. * Insert hook into next, yarn over and pull up a loop.
